On Very Thin Ice
I’m a hummer. Most of times I have a song playing on repeat in my head. At times it’s great , other times - not so great. Like now. A couple of months a go I stumbled across Auto-Tune the News on YouTube. Said months later and I’m still playing the Auto-Tune the News 24/7 concert in my head. I’m starting to get somewhat tired. However, perhaps this is some kind of viral thing. Perhaps I must ‘pass it on’? Well, I’m gonna try that. The part in question is the part where Katie Couric starts talking about the melting of the north pole. We find ourselves on very thin ice. Very Thin Ice. Very, very, very thin ice. Very Thin Ice. Surely you jest, I’m under cardiac arrest. We’re on very thin ice. It starts at 1:20. Enjoy. And don’t give this virus back to me. Thanks.
Oh, and if you liked it you should also pay attention to people on the roads who are texting while driving. After all: People on the road can turn an LOL into a great big OMG.
Best Music Video Ever Made
This is it. Definitely.
Flight of the Conchords
I’ve been at work all week, but seeing as these are holiday times in Norway, traffic’s been kinda slow. I am in no way complaining about this, but that’s how this blog post came to be. Free time at work (yeah, I really should be doing work related stuff) is spent on my iPhone as it connects flawlessly to the nearby wifi hotspot. Free internet. Woo. Most of the time flies by on YouTube. And over the last couple of days I’ve watched pretty much everything by Flight of the Conchords. A New Zealand folk music-comedy duo. Yep. It’s instant win. I’ve embedded my favorite songs right after the jump.
iPhone Ringtones
As if my previous post wasn’t enough to let people know that I love the Discovery Channel ad, I decided to turn the song into a ringtone for my iPhone. Was about bloody time I changed it anyway. Poor old GLaDOS died a long time ago, and that bloody cake was a lie, or was it?
Sadly the iPhone ringtones are limited to 30 seconds, so I decided to go for the second verse, including both Mike Rowe and Stephen Hawking godliness. You can fetch the ringtone here, additionally you can also pick up GLaDOS’ – Still Alive here.
How To Make Them Work on Your iPhone: Simply ‘tick off’ the Ringtones selection from the General tab under Settings in iTunes. Then just drag’n drop into iTunes. Else, see this guide. Enjoy! (:
We Built the Pyramids
It’s true. We did. Unless you believe ET or some other alien did it. (Oh no I didn’t!) Regardless, I’ve been watching the Big Bang Theory lately and the theme song, by the Barenaked Ladies, is now permanently stuck on my frontal lobe. The show is pretty fun, although I have to admit that I felt obliged to watch the first few episode. Being the geekery it is. The song is catchy and fun! Enjoy it, with lyrics, after the break. Oh, and yeah, the song is called ‘The History Of Everything’ – not ‘The Big Bang Theory’. Find the group at BareNakedLadies.com. No. That’s not porno. Freak!
